Developer Needed - Startup Software "Imagineering"


We are a fresh startup in Austin, funded by our technical founders, who have built several successful technology companies over the years. We love what we do and our creative, challenging, and passionate culture is one of our greatest internal strengths. We work hard, wear many hats, create geeky-awesome things, and have a blast doing it! This is an intense, innovative, high-energy, technology startup, NOT a "big corporate" 9-5.

Note: We posted this job before, but a lot of folks thought we were only looking for very senior-level people. That is not the case. We are looking for a mid-level developer - good skills are important, but a billion years of professional experience are not required. If you love challenges, an innovative startup environment, are very motivated and passionate, and can sling some serious code, we want to hear from you.

Overci is growing and we are looking for a great software developer to join our team. No recruiters or agents. Full-time, salary DoEA.

Aptitude, attitude, and passion are more important than specific skills. However, some of the things we are ideally looking for include:  Linux (love the command line, Debian/Ubuntu preferred), Python, Ruby, PostgreSQL or MySQL, open source tools, networking knowledge (IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, etc.), and HTML/CSS/JavaScript (our UI is web-based). Bonus points for experience with AWS, Xen, mobile apps, high-availability, UI/UX, or security.
