[Jobs] Software Engineer with Ruby on Rails experience

WhiteGlove House Call Health is looking to hire an agile, smart and
talented Software Engineer to join its technology team and help building
the different components of their technology infrastructure.

 

The ideal candidate will be highly-motivated, a great team player and
have:

 

l  3+ years web app development experience, and a good understanding of
key web standards and n-tier systems.

l  1 or more years experience working with Ruby on Rails.

l  A strong Software Engineering background.

l  Excellent RDBMS and SQL skills (experience with more than one RDBMS a
plus).

l  Strong networking skills (understanding of the ISO-OSI model a plus),
and a general understanding of the different internet protocols.

l  Hands-on experience with a version control system such as Subversion,
CVS or similar.

l  Experience in designing and implementing distributed systems.

l  Familiarity with the Linux OS and basic sysadmin skills.

 

Other desirable attributes or experience:

 

l  Bachelor or Masters degree in CS or related field.

l  UI design and implementation, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX (experience
with jQuery or Prototype a plus).

l  Crystal Reports, or similar reporting development experience.

l  Experience developing on other web frameworks, other high-level
programming languages, OOP, design patterns, etc.

l  Information security knowledge.

 

 

Location: Austin, TX.
