OrgSync is seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for a developer with the experience, motivation and energy to build robust, flexible applications for the higher education market.

 

Responsibilities

* Provide senior-level contribution to a team responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of critical web applications 

* Work with traditional software lifecycle methodologies.​ Create design documents when and as required.​ Perform coding, debugging and testing.​

* Consider and research emerging technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes

* Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to less experienced team members

 

Qualifications

* 2+​ years development experience with Ruby on Rails

* AJAX- driven interface development 

* JavaScript framework knowledge (Prototype, Scriptaculous, JQuery)

* Experience with complex SQL queries and database performance issues

* Design knowledge and experience is a plus

* Experience with cloud computing and server administration is a plus
