Austin company looking for a skilled Ruby on Rails developer to join our
development team for a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity.  The right
candidate is personable, smart, gets stuff done, and has a passion for
creative web application design and development across all layers of web
products.

Required

* Creativity
* Professional experience building modern web software
* 1+ years with Ruby on Rails 2.x
* Experience with e-commerce and payment gateways
* Understanding of the importance of automated testing and testable code
* Understanding of core object-oriented principles and the MVC pattern
* Ability to work across all layers: database, business logic, and front-end
* Clean, semantic XHTML, CSS, and Javascript
* Good working knowledge of SQL beyond the basics

Bonus Points

* Capistrano or other deployment tools
* HAML and SASS
* Grid-based CSS layouts
* JQuery
* Agile (Scrum) development process
* Git
* Working knowledge of plugins/gems like Cucumber, FactoryGirl, Authlogic,
and ActiveMerchant
