Technisource is looking for three Austin based Ruby on Rails Developers. All three positions are permanent positions located in Austin.
Job number one:
* Backend Developer that understands performance, logic, Database queries, Schemas and backend application logic
* Solid experience with Ruby on Rails or has toyed with RoR and would love to use it more
* Experience with Microsoft C/C++ development in DevStudio. Simple tasks such as system tray or other basic Microsoft API's used for building native applications in Windows
* Experience with WMI/SNMP would be a big plus!
Job number two:
* BS or equivalent experience
* At least one year Ruby On Rails experience
* Ability to work in an Agile, Scrum, XP environment
* Good understanding of HTML, CSS and AJAX
* Good understanding of Internet protocols
* Good understanding of Web-based technology as it relates to the web-hosted model of software delivery
* Hands-on experience working with a MySQL or SQL Server database, SQL programming
* Experience with Amazon Web Services including EC2, S3, SQS is a plus
Job number three:
Required
* Minimum 5 years professional software development experience
* Significant Ruby on Rails development experience
* Unix/Linux environment experience
Preferred
* jQuery, CSS, HTML / AJAX
* PostgreSQL
* Lucene/Solr
* Hadoop/MapReduce
