Web Developer - Ruby on Rails
About the company & project:
This individual will be working on a variety of projects for a company developing some VERY cool websites ranging from national politician campaign websites to small local Austin businesses. That being said, you'll obviously be working on Web-based applications exclusively & would be doing a combination of new website development & up keep of existing client sites. Your primary duties would be doing back-end development, but front end experience is a plus. Being comfortable wearing all hats in a small growing web firm would be helpful. The company is located downtown in a new office and offers a laid back atmosphere and solid benefits. Small five person development team currently so you'll truly be able to impact the success of their projects. Looking to interview 2-3 candidates THIS week.
Requirements:
Ruby on Rails; MySQL.
2+ years of experience or, a degree with a couple of Rails projects under your belt.
Experience specifically with website development & you should have developed a couple of sites from start to finish using Ruby on Rails.
Ability & interest in multi-tasking.
Ability & interest in working on both front & back-end projects.
Not opposed to working on political sites on the conservative side of the isle.
Plus:
VB.net (some of their past projects were written in VB.net so they have some support & migration opportunities in this area.)
Availability with minimal notice.
Please email your resume to 5pointjobs at 5pointservices.com immediately if this is a job you're qualified for & interested in. You're more than welcome to follow-up with a call to our coordinator, Kim Conklin @ 744-9191 ext. 2459. Local candidates only.
All the best,
Carolyn Watts
