We are on the search for a creative, flexible, experienced individual to
help grow our clients Applications business. The perfect candidate would
have SOA, Ruby, and Java experience, but SOA is not necessary as long as
the person has strong web services experience.  

 

Your responsibilities and challenges will include: 

*	Designing, and implementing a physically-distributed, SOA
software system. Constructing, testing and deploying software components
for this system in Ruby and/or Java. You will spend no less than 85% of
your time in this capacity. This system will have traditional SOA
Characteristics. 
*	Integrating the clients Platform with existing and future SaaS
applications 
*	Researching and supporting latest standards concerning Web
Services and SOA applications 
*	Collaborating with our Product Management Team defining product
features and requirements 
*	Researching and prototyping widget-based user interfaces
compatible with MSN Live, iGoogle, Facebook, and others 

 

Skills and Experience 

*	6+ years software product engineering, 8-10+ years preferred 
*	Familiarity and paid experience with multiple programming
languages required 
*	Experience with SaaS applications or SOA systems a plus 
*	Familarity with Javascript/AJAX client development a plus 
*	Experience with Ruby, Smalltalk, or Python a plus 
*	A Computer Science degree would be handy
