We are looking for some immediate short-term contract help to test a  
new version of our Rails stack. We expect this to be approximately  
five days of work. The tasks will involve creating / running a simple  
rails app in multiple environments to test the installation and use of  
our Rails stack.

FiveRuns offers a free Rails stack (RM-Install - http://www.fiveruns.com/products/install) 
  for OS X, Linux and Windows.  Additionally, the stack can be  
installed in a development or production configurations.

Therefore, we need for someone to:

- create / run a simple Rails application in multiple environments

- in eight environments:
   - development configuration for:
     1. OS X 10.5 (leopard)
     2. any variant of Linux (your choice)
     3. Windows XP
     4. Windows Vista
   - production configuration for:
     5. OS X 10.5 (leopard)
     6. any variant of Linux (your choice)
     7. Windows XP
     8. Windows Vista

- this may involve collaboration with BitRock, the provider of our   
our Rails stack partner - as you identify issues, receive updates and  
re-run tests.

Note that the production configuration includes Mongrel and Apache and  
therefore you must have some comfort experience with clusters of   
Mongrel clusters and their use via Apache.
