Senior Technologist -- User Experience

LargeSmall Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Technologist
to lead design and development of the user experience for a web-based
application.  Interested candidates should have strong visual design
and information architecture skills and expert knowledge of relevant
web standards and technologies, including XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience working with Ruby on Rails and AJAX is strongly desired.

Job duties include:
- responsibility/accountability for creating a compelling user experience
- advocating the needs of users
- hands-on design and coding of templates for the application interface
- directing the UI-related work of contract/permanent designers and developers
- managing user testing activities

Requirements:
- minimum 5 years professional user interface design/development experience
- skill at solving problems and getting things done
- creative and passionate about design, power and simplicity
- team-oriented and a pleasure to work with
